The lowdown
Not an all-new car but a fairly serious revision of the legendary off-roader. Mitsubishi has ditched the old car’s dated-looking curves with much straighter, angular lines inspired by the 1979 Pajero II concept car. It’s not exactly Range Rover suave but the result should keep the Caravan Club happy.
Renault’s cut price brand, Dacia, is continuing to move forward with the second generation Logan due to debut at Paris. Could come to the UK. Renault-owned Romanian budget brand Dacia’s assault on the European car market shows no sign of letting up as the company readies its replacement for the top-selling Logan small-saloon car.
-- Ayrton Senna positively dominated the 1990 Monaco Grand Prix: he came in with the fastest qualifying lap, started on pole, set the fastest lap, led every single one of them, won the thing, beating rival Alain Prost in the process, then went on to win the 1990 World Championship.
